Yeah...this REALLY irritates me! Ok, I love Rose to...BUT.......why can't our Good Doctor love Martha just as much??? She's...in ALL ways BETTER than Rose... Oh...Rose made me mad from the beginning! The way she just LEFT Mickey then after that...the way she treated him! SHAME ON HER! In fact....I wasn't even sure at first that Mickey was her BF. I thought he was her gay best friend at first. But once I knew he had been her BF....EEEEWWW!!! NO-ONE deserves that!
But Martha.....not only is she prettier (OK that doesn't matter), but she's smarter, tougher, loves the Doctor and her family so deeply, works HARDER...and has had to do so much MORE of the hard dirty work.......and I just want to smack the writers! Martha deserves the Doctor's love more....so why didn't they write it that he could love her too??? At least as much as he loves Rose. OH...and why the heck...does ROSE get a Dr. Clone and all his other loving companions get left behind??!! When I discovered how he just left Mary Jane....I was made all over again!
LOL...we could say Jack appreciates Martha....but...um.....he "appreciates" EVERYONE!
Martha is married now...tee hee...and in some fan art I plan to make.....her new hubby will be an older Jacob Black. Not sure if you've read Twilight....I like it but am not a crazy GA GA fan...and I'm only interested at all because I love Jacob so much! He reminds me so much of Martha.
OH,...and at Comic Con, when I was at the Dr. Who panel...I made sure I got the last word when they asked about the best companion....lots of "sheep" bleated Rose...but I yelled MARTHA the loudest and made sure it was the last word.....because I also pointed out Martha has done MORE!
Ok...SO.....the Doctor needs to wake up! He either needs to find his daughter to be his companion....OR......get some gay females or straight males to hang out with because for such an intelligent being as a Time Lord...he sure is STUPID when it comes to the hearts of women.....or maybe that's just his most serious vice....he doesn't care....because he tries so hard to be perfect in other ways.
Oh...as for Donna...I guess it could go either way....I know people that say she was falling for the doctor even though she was trying not to. Maybe...but we all know she likes Jack MORE! LOL!
OK...sorry for the rant but it feels so good to meet someone that appreciates Martha as much as I. Take care, Erika
WORD to everything you said. You were at the Whovian panel.. oh yes! All sorts of groovy and loved that you gave some gleeful cheering for our heroine extraordinaire Martha. Yeh, she's married.. the only thing I think of, why she wasn't leading the charge at Torchwood is that the doctor gave her and Tom a fab trip away. 'cause ya know she'd have not stood by when kids were getting taken by aliens or governments.
Have to agree with your statement on Rose too - I felt really sick with the treatment of Mickey. Frankly, he deserves better - which is why it's good he's in this 'verse, at least he can come back for future episodes! Jacob Black? I shall look him up then. I'm totally looking forward to seeing more of your work.. especially Martha and hubby! Did you see the Doctors face in S4 when Martha was talking about 'her doctor' and he didn't much like she was crushing on someone else? lol. Jack too, had a moment 'why does Martha have to be on holiday?' instead of 'honeymoon'. ;D We know the feeling. Great to meet you too.
